Since its premiere in 2005, the Tang music and dance drama Dreaming Back to the Tang Dynasty has been staged for more than 7,000 performances over the past 15 years, receiving 2.8 million audiences, gaining numerous accolades and creating a miracle of a special performance for tourism and culture.

Created by Chen Weiya, Han Chunqi, Zhao Jiping and Meng Ke, the gloriously upgraded golden version of Tang Dynasty is another grand masterpiece in praise of the new era. The drama presents the dream realization process of Meng’er, a modern girl, who goes to Tang Dynasty and seeks love for thousands of years. The drama is composed of six parts in five acts, including the prologue  Dreaming Back to Tang, Smoke Signal of Chang’an, National Beauty, Prosperity of the Gods of Crops, Silk RoadAmorousness and The Wedding, and reinterprets an imaginative and prosperous Tang Dynasty in depth from war, marketplace, song and dance, wedding and maritime Silk Road.
